Regrettably I donated a special raspberry colored hoodie of my daughter's to the San Mateo Goodwill approximately between latter Oct & the first week of Nov not knowing it was the only piece of clothing she wanted me to keep until she returns to CA.
It's large or extra large in size & reads, "May the bridges I burn light the way" across the front. It feels like a cross between cotton & polyester. It meant something to her that when she's made mistakes in life, to always remember to learn, value the lessons, & grow.
She left CA a few years ago for school in my home state, taking only some of her things, leaving behind clothes, shoes, books, mementos & intended to retrieve after she returned to CA. Because I need to reduce my belongings to move to a small apartment, I was going thru her things thinking of only what she might want to keep the most.
What I didn't realize until AFTER I donated this hoodie and then asked her what I could bring to her when I came to see her this winter is that was the most important thing to her aside from some childhood mementos like cards & pictures. I FEEL HORRIBLE.
I went back to Goodwill to look for it and asked if it may still be waiting to put out but had no luck.
If you purchased or if anyone knows of someone who recently purchased a hoodie like this, could you please share this with them to reach out to me? I will pay more than the cost they would've purchased it.
