We have an immediate opening for an experienced powder coating technician. Work in a family owned and operated business.
• Able to do own Setups to Powder Coat all metal parts.
• Performs preparations for powder coating of parts by cleaning the paint booth every day before producing parts, selects the color to be used based on the Work Orders and Drawings.
• Operates baking oven and monitors temperature and bake cycle times.
• Operates equipment and machines accordingly to specific operational and safety instructions.
• Brings to the attention of management, problems which affect the production quality of the area for which responsible.
• Clear understanding of proper preparation and finish.
• Completes all assignments in a timely manner.
• Meets production schedules for delivery requirements.
• Responsible to ensure all work and paperwork is accounted to the proper router or work order.
• Responsible for maintaining paint booth and keeping paint storage area organized.
• Responsible for maintaining all paint guns, pots, chips, gloss.
• Proficient on accuracy and quality of work.
• Performs visual inspection of all material prior to painting and after.
Key Job Responsibilities Other:
• Adheres to all Company Policy & Procedures and Department Procedures.
• Verbally communicates to maintenance technician any machinery and equipment functional problems and notifies supervisor any quality or production issues detected.
• Maintain safety at all times; keep a clean work environment
• May be required to perform additional duties not specifically describe herein.
• Performs miscellaneous related assignments, such as prep, masking, washing, etc.; when needed or required.
• Ability to receive verbal or written instructions that pertains to daily tasks.
• Work weekends and overtime as required.
Required:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience powder coating.
• Knowledgeable & Effie cent with powder gun, hopper, and oven.
• Reads and understands blueprints.
• Organized & Self-motivated
• Team player & Good Communicator
