If you have ever used SGI equipment, or want to try, this is your chance to own a solid, working SGI Octane. It has a fresh IRIX 6.2 install on the 320 Gigabyte Ultra-SCSI drive, and I'll toss in a second 320G drive for you. It will run most LCD monitors. The Octane is quite a step up from an SGI Indy and a step up from an SGI O2.

These machines have a following, and there are user groups in the area. I've used Indys, O2s, and Octanes in my career at SGI and elsewhere.

Why am I selling? I have other SGI equipment that I use, including Octanes, so this is a spare, and I need the space for other projects.

I am open to trade, am looking for a working PiDP-10, some SCI cables that fit Octanes. I have spare parts, etc. and can configure the machine for your needs; so let's talk.

I drive from North Bay down the Peninsula to Saratoga once a month, can deliver, let you test it at your location, etc. Or we can meet in North Bay.
