General Statement of Job:

The SIS Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the regular monitoring of online open sources for potential security and operational threats, escalation, and production of intelligence products. The Intelligence Analyst will interface with client and SIS management and be expected to provide expert advice on matters related to security intelligence. The Intelligence Analyst is an embedded role supporting an Executive Protection division.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct regular monitoring sweeps through online open sources and social media for known and potential threats to company security, operations, and reputation
  • Ability to independently identify, compose, and deliver actionable alerts of moderate to high operational/security importance to the client
  • Effectively analyze threats and produce intelligence deliverables in diverse formats
  • Conduct preliminary investigations, real-time event monitoring, and social media analysis
  • Leverage employee databases, travel tracking solutions, and news alert services to enhance manual research efforts
  • Conduct monitoring functions on a wide range of issues pertaining to global security, such as: petty and violent crime trends, disruptive protests, weather conditions, natural disasters, travel issues, reputational concerns, as well as socio-economic dynamics.
  • Monitor the online threat profile and subjects of concern to client VIP’s
  • Provide travelers with destination security assessments, local news monitoring, and real time emergency support, if needed
  • Assist in the development of new intelligence products as well as analyzing existing intelligence products to provide recommendations for improvement
  • Assist in identifying potentially sensitive information through extensive data mining of internal and open source materials
  • Engage in proactive efforts to mitigate risk and inform field personnel of operational concerns in advance
  • Proofread intelligence reports written by fellow Intelligence Analysts
  • Be available after normal business hours to respond to peer or managerial questions about ongoing research or specific areas of expertise
  • On occasion, perform analyst responsibilities on-site at client events (domestic travel)
  • Perform other related duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Regional Studies, Strategic Studies, International Relations, Political Science, Economics or equivalent military/professional intelligence training; Masters Degree preferred
  • Minimum 2+ year’s of academic or professional experience in research, analysis and development of intelligence products/reports
  • Fluency in at least one foreign language (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Must complete and maintain state Guard Certification as prescribed by presiding state law, as well as all client requested certifications; all documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise noted
  • Thorough knowledge of security procedures, life-safety, and business continuity
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must possess advanced skills and experience in collecting and analyzing large quantities of data to produce notifications, assessments, and reports
  • Excellent time-management, communication, technical writing, presentation, facilitation, and organizational skills required
  • Must be flexible and posses the ability to function in stressful situations
  • Must be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm with the ability to deliver high level of customer service
  • Strong familiarity with all major social media platforms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop, and Mapping software
  • Experience with investigative and risk management tools desired
  • Experience with public records databases desired
  • Experience with Salesforce desired
