At GenapSys we are working to change the world of healthcare and diagnostics; we are developing a DNA-sequencing technology that will revolutionize the world of healthcare. Our system will enable fast, accurate, and ultra-low cost genetic tests in order to better understand (and ultimately treat) genetic diseases such as Cancer, Parkinson's, Diabetes, and Alzheimer's, just to name a few. GenapSys was founded by Dr. Hesaam Esfandyarpour and incubated over 6 years (2004-2010) at Stanford University.

Our team brings together an incredibly diverse and multidisciplinary set of backgrounds and skills - from electrical and mechanical engineers to physicists, chemists, microfluidic engineers, molecular biologists, bioinformaticians, mathematicians and more. Together we will advance scientific and medical knowledge and improve human health through cheaper, faster, and more accurate DNA sequencing technologies. This is a unique, influential and high-impact role at a very exciting time for GenapSys, given our plans to grow in the coming year. We plan to scale our team significantly this year, and you will lead all recruiting initiatives to achieve these ambitious hiring targets. If you have a history of success in filling critical positions, managing relationships with hiring managers, shaping next-level recruitment methodologies and rolling up your sleeves, you will be a great fit. You will partner closely with and report to the Head of People, Culture & HR.

What you'll be doing:

-Build and run full-cycle recruiting processes for a variety of roles with an emphasis on engaging passive talent
-Maintain strong pipeline of qualified candidates and cultivates strong network of passive talent. Often the best candidates are the ones not actively looking
-Screen candidates, coordinate team interviews, and facilitate interview and hiring decision-making process with hiring teams, while ensuring a high level of candidate engagement and positive candidate experience
-Partner with Head of People, Culture & HR to build scalable Talent Acquisition processes and programs, including workforce planning, a social media recruitment strategy, interview scheduling/feedback processes, interview training, and new-hire onboarding
-Drive initiatives to create excitement about GenapSys and to brand it as an 'employer of choice'.
-Champion diversity and inclusion and culture-building initiatives

What you'll need:

Minimum qualifications:

-BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
-At least 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a high volume environment, ideally in a startup, in the life sciences/technology sector
-A consistent track record of sourcing, recruiting, and closing extraordinary talent, especially passive talent.
-Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through in a fast-paced environment
-True passion for understanding what top talent looks like, understanding their desires and motivations, and providing a red carpet experience
-Driven with a "get it done" attitude

Preferred qualifications:

-5+ years of prior recruiting experience. Familiarity using LinkedIn Recruiter
-Knowledge of biopharma, diagnostics, medical device or related field, genomics and/or next-generation sequencing would be a huge plus.
-Strong passion for advancing the human capital agenda and mission of GenapSys
-Passion for building diverse and inclusive teams
-Ability to connect and effectively communicate with different types of key internal and external stakeholders
-Exceptional teamwork and multitasking skills
