The Human Neural Circuitry (HNC) program at Stanford University, is seeking a temporary, full-time (40 hours per week) entry-level Data Manager (75%)/Clinical Research Coordinator Associate (CRCA; 25%). The role is based on-site at Stanford and will require full-time in-person work. Please note that this is a temporary position, with the possibility of extension or permanent hire.
Duties include:
Data Manager (75%)
· Design, build, and maintain REDCap databases for research studies ensuring accurate programming of data collection instruments and efficient workflows.
· Develop and implement data quality control procedures, including automated validation checks, regular audits, and reports identifying inconsistencies, missing data, or outliers.
· Prepare, distribute, and process questionnaires for participants.
· Administer study questionnaires and tests, score measurements, and code data for entry.
· Review forms, tests, and measurements for completeness and accuracy.
· Manage cognitive and behavioral assessment data from measures such as WASI, CBCL, and SRS, verifying accurate recording, coding, and linkage to participant records.
· Extract data from source documents and complete case report forms.
· Use R and Python to perform data cleaning, transformation, and analyses, writing scripts to automate processing tasks and creating visualizations and summary statistics.
· Collect MRI data and ensure accurate capture of MRI metadata, applying familiarity with MRI terminology.
· Maintain forms and documents, including consent forms and master subject logs, filing correspondence.
· Maintain and update the laboratory website with study information, publications, presentations, and recruitment materials.
· Prepare data tables and verify statistical accuracy for manuscripts, ensuring reported findings align with database records.
Clinical Research Coordinator (25%)
· Assist with the screening, recruiting, and obtaining consent of study participants. Review medical records and/or perform telephone or in-person interviews to gather data, as needed.
· Extract data from source documents for research studies as directed. Collect data and complete case report forms.
Both
· Maintain confidentiality of participant data per HIPAA and institutional review board protocols, managing secure storage and compliant sharing procedures.
· Participate in team meetings to provide updates on database status, data quality metrics, and project progress.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED)
· BA/BS in Data Science, Statistics, psychology.
· Experience working with RedCap databases.
· Experience with R and python programming.
· Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· General knowledge of medical terminology.
Familiarity with neurodivergent pediatric populations;
Experience with the outputs of cognitive and behavioral measures such as WASI, CBCL, and SRS.
Familiarity with MRI terminology.
Experience maintaining a website.
