Well-established real estate investment and development company seeks a detail-oriented Property Manager to join our team. This role supports a diverse portfolio of retail, multi-family, and office properties and emphasizes financial oversight, lease administration, and higher-level collections, while maintaining strong operational and technical competence. The Property Manager will work closely with the Head of Property Management and the Property Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
• Negotiate new leases and renewals
• Review leases, amendments, and renewals
• Manage lease administration and critical lease dates
• Provide financial oversight by running and reviewing tenant ledgers, aging reports, rent rolls, and other Yardi reports
• Partner with the Property Accountant, who handles Yardi data entry, billing setup, and initial collections
• Monitor receivables and handle escalated, serious, and legal collections
• Review operating statements and assist with CAM and operating expense reconciliations
• Prepare proformas and annual budgets
• Maintain strong tenant relations
• Approve vendor invoices and manage vendors and contractors, including scopes of work and negotiations
• Manage residential and commercial improvement projects
• Conduct site visits and ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance
• Oversee resident managers, as applicable
• Handle SNDA and estoppel requests
Requirements & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5 years of commercial and residential property management experience
• Strong experience reviewing ledgers, aging reports, rent rolls, and financial statements
• Knowledge of collections escalation and coordination with legal counsel
• Proficient in Yardi, with emphasis on reporting and oversight
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (strong Excel skills preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret building plans
• Good working knowledge of building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing)
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and collaboratively
