The DC3T-14F239-AS Ford OEM Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM), also known as a Sync Module, primarily used in 2015-2016 Ford F-250/F-350 Super Duty trucks. Worked fine when removed.
Key Functions
Infotainment Hub: Controls the 8-inch touchscreen interface and integrates audio and phone functions.
Connectivity: Manages Bluetooth pairing, Wi-Fi hotspots, and USB device recognition.
Safety Features: Supports the Emergency Assistance System, which can automatically call emergency services via a paired phone during an accident.
While the DC3T-14F239-AS is primarily labeled for 2015–2016 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks, the underlying Sync 2 hardware is interchangeable with many Ford and Lincoln vehicles from the 2013–2016 era.
Compatible Vehicle Models
This module can typically be programmed to fit the following vehicles equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen:
Important Fitment Factors
Navigation vs. Non-Navigation: Even if the part fits physically, you must ensure the module supports Navigation if your vehicle originally had it. Navigation-enabled modules usually have a specific "Navigation" SD card slot.
Programming (As-Built Data): A module taken from an F-350 will not immediately work in a Fusion. It must be pre-programmed with your specific VIN-based As-Built data using tools like FORScan or at a dealership to enable the correct features (backup camera, heated seats, etc.).
