THE GOOD:

* TURNS OVER and RUNS!!!

* recently replaced radiator (Mar. 2025)

* recently replaced & adjusted timing belt (Mar. 2025)

* 4x nice looking 15" aluminum rims (have some wear and tear and could use some clean-up, one tire has slow leak but no visible bends!)

* sun/moon roof

* AC works very well (heat/cold)

* has driver and passenger airbags (never deployed)

* automatic windows and door locks (LX model)

* upgraded aftermarket Kenwood KDC-S3009 35Watt x 4 stereo with CD player

* upgraded pedals, stick-shift, instrument panel trim

* back seats fold down so you can load lengthy items through the trunk

* high-quality tinted windows

* clean inside (upholstery/seats, from pet-free home) and out (stored in car port)

* gas saver (1.5 liter 4 cylinder DOHC engine easily gets 30+ mpg in city and 35-39 mpg on highway!!)

* MANUAL TRANSMISSION: better mileage and fun to drive on the bendy California hill roads!

* cheap to insure (~$385/year - non-comprehensive)

* clean title (California, Bay Area car, so no rust from salt/water, just some spots on the paint here and there)

* currently in PNO (planned non-operation), so no back-registration dues (registration is ~$100/year)

* these Mazdas are dogs (built fully in Japan, not in Canada or Mexico - did my research before buying and owned another one) and don't die, which is why the high milage (200,467) doesn't mean much - they only have normal wear and tear (or problems due to a mechanic that doesn't know what he's doing!)

* flexible on price


THE BAD:

* burns oil and thus makes lots of smoke (despite newly replaced head gasket, so best guess it needs the head "filed down" or smoothed at a machine shop and put back together), SO YOU WILL NEED TO TOW IT

* needs clutch replacement (fly? wheel doesn't grip and car moves sluggishly), SO YOU WILL NEED TO TOW IT

* cracked rear window/windshield

* front passenger's door was hit lightly and needs bending or replacement (closes fine but has small gaps, so water may drip in on a super rainy day)
