This came out of a cabaret series monitor. I tried it out in a guitar amp and it sounded great - similar to a E120, D120, or K120 for that Jerry Garcia sound. Would also be perfect as a woofer in a passive, 2 way speaker cabinet.
I think this has a 3" voice coil. It's a very heavy speaker. Per JBL documentation it was originally used in the MR Series and 4652, and it has 500W power handling. I don't think this was ever sold as a separate component. This is a bad ass speaker.
No issues with the speaker. Some light staining on the cone but everything is solid. Appears to be the original cone.
