Francesco Lassi, born 1874, died 1968 Faenza Italy. Self-taught maker, active from 1906. Completed over 400 instruments on classical and personal models. Varnish of various golden-red tints. Prizes awarded at Florence 1921 and Cremona 1937.

This violin has a button repair and a crack repair at lower treble eye. The violin is set up and ready to play.
