I bought this from Gryphon Strings because the price was can't-pass, and then played it maybe a total of 10 hours with it on a wall peg for a month, and put it in its case, storing it detuned a full step. I bought more guitars and just never ended up playing it again.
It's a great guitar, with Gryphon set-up low action, in exceptionally clean condition. The only thing stopping it from being "Like New" is that the pickguard shows use when you look at it sideways in reflected light.
I'm the second owner and I did not pay $1300 -- I believe that is the original retail tag, shown & photographed toward corroborating the backstory because Gryphon clients will recognize it. It was still in the case pouch when I bought it. I think the original owner hardly played this guitar.
I will take more and thorough photos soon -- it's a big production as I don't want to take the guitar outside into the cold. In the close-ups of the action it looks like the body is dusty or not glassy, but that is the case's cloth (it's laying on top of the case) reflected in its glossy finish. The guitar is also still tuned down a full step in all of these photos.
If you're looking for a D-12e in the right condition, at the right price, this is it.
Open to trades/partial trades for: Gibson SG, Ox Box, UAD Apollo x4, Fender Champ, Gretsch 12 string. Condition for trades must be "Great"/"Excellent" or better.
