Classic Mackie mixing desk -- packed with features!
12 input channels as follows:
- First 4 mono channels with XLR mic inputs, 1/4" (all 1/4" inputs are balanced or unbalanced) line inputs, insert jacks, and 75Hz high pass filter, 0-50dB mic preamp
- Channels 5/6 and 7/8 are mono (XLR or 1/4") or stereo (2 x 1/4" balanced / unbalanced inputs), 0-40dB mic preamp
- Channels 9/10 and 11/12 are mono (1/4") or stereo (2 x 1/4")
All Channels have LED input indicator, +/- 20dB trim control for line input, 2 band eq, 2 aux sends (both have mono outs and stereo returns, one of which can alternatively be used to control the onboard effects), pan, mute, 60mm fader, and LED overload indicator.
Master section includes stereo aux returns (both with mutes), CD/Tape input (and output) on its own fader (with mute), and left / right master faders, 5-band switchable graphic EQ (configurable for use on mains or aux/monitor) as well as a dedicated headphone amp, and a break switch (mutes all mic inputs). The built in effects are great -- the reverbs in particular are all extremely usable.
Known issues:
- one of the rubber feet is missing (I've got a felt foot on it)
- as is typical, some of the fader caps are ever so slightly bent (doesn't affect functionality at all)
- 1/4" master outputs don't work (XLR's work fine). Though as I sit here writing this I realize that the output section is labelled bal/unbal like the input channels -- it's possible that the 1/4" are unbalanced and that my use of TRS cables was responsible for not passing signal? Not sure if that makes sense, but again, the XLR outs work fine.
- I'm not sure about the effects return to monitor -- tried it recently (don't usually do that) and didn't seem to work, but I didn't try too hard.
This is a GREAT little board for practice studio or gigging. Super rugged and reliable. Mackie sound a build quality.
Cash only, meet in Palo Alto (near Page Mill and El Camino) to hand off.
