I have decided that this Duke 390 is a fantastic motorcycle but it must go to its new home. It's utterly reliable and well-maintained by an experienced older mechanic (that's me).
If you're a new rider, it's the perfect bike for you. It has approachable power, predictable handling, is cheap to run and insure, durable against being dropped, and is ride-all-day comfortable. The previous owner dropped it in gravel at moderate speed about two thousand miles ago, so you don't have to worry about being the first. There's a reason these are go-to beginner bikes.
If you're an experienced rider (like I am), it's the perfect bike for you. It's got enough power to be entertaining, the suspension setup means you can corner astonishingly fast, the ergos are hilarious, and you won't spend your retirement fund in rear tires. When the GSXR1000 catches up to you at Alice's, you can show him how you didn't bother using all the tire. There's a reason old guys like me buy them.
