I am a math professor and poker player, author of "Why Alex Beats Bobbie at Poker: Developing a Fundamentally Sound Approach to Poker" (available on Amazon, with the rest of my resume - see picture above).
Work:
Currently teaching No Limit Holdem poker classes at UCLA Extension and writing regularly on some of the world's biggest poker platforms such as Pokerstars, Poker Upswing Poker, Poker News, Chasing Poker Greatness and others.
Style:
If you ever read any of my work, you will likely realize that despite my extensive math training, my goal is to simplify complex ideas in ways which are accessible to laymen of all levels.
Bottom Line:
Poker is a very intricate game, with a lot of depth that may feel intimidating at times. Yet the overarching principles behind even the most obscure calculations are typically very simple and intuitive. This were I come in.
Next Step:
If you want to take your game to the next level, or simply want to learn how to play, feel free to reach out to schedule some 1-1 sessions. Happy to do this in person or remotely.
Looking forward to working with you and good luck at the tables!
