Developed by a Berkeley-educated teacher, it gives students repeatable steps to understand stories, nonfiction, and arguments deeply and confidently.
Students learn how to:

• Apply the STORY Framework to see structure and meaning
• Identify Best Evidence to support their answers
• Think critically and explain ideas with precision

My name is Mr. David, and I’ve taught reading and writing for over 15 years in Bay Area classrooms and online.
I created the Strategic Reading Method to help students go beyond surface-level reading and build the habits of analytical thinkers — the same skills that prepare them for honors and AP courses later on.
