Small, busy state-wide law firm, with offices in Northern and Southern California, seeking a highly motivated remote contract to permanent insurance defense/premises liability litigation attorney with 2 to 5 years’ experience in California state court and/or Federal Court. There will also be opportunities to participate in the firm’s environmental litigation (CERCLA), real estate litigation, and business litigation practice areas.
An ideal candidate will have sufficient experience to handle independently: (1) discovery (propounding and responding); (2) drafting and responding to pleadings and motions; (3) depositions (taking and defending); and (4) routine court appearances.
This attorney will work closely with the firm’s founder and other experienced attorneys. This position allows for independence and flexibility, and creativity will be rewarded.
The starting rate for this position will be $75 per hour.
Candidates must be active and in good standing with the California State Bar.
