I need a Certified Appliance Independant person, to come to my apartment to remove the back of my stove, and test the Rheostat control to check for a short and to determine if the stove malfunctioned causing a fire. If they can verify that the stove malfunctioned, a signed report must be given to me stating how the stove malfunctioned. I have already called 20 appliance repair companies and they refused to do this. I tried calling electricians and they all said they dont do this. Someone is out there that can do this, and I am willing to pay the person $150 cash to do this. The person will not be required to testify in court. I just need a statement from a licensed or certified person, and their license number would be on the statement. This is very serious because my landlord is attempting to blame me for a fire I never started. I was not using the stove when it happened. I rarely if ever used the back burner and used it as a storage space for a large pot. I have pictures of the pot which show it did not burn but only had a few marks on the bottom.
