Sage Eldercare provides high touch, in-home eldercare services to clients in the Bay Area, and the Employment Specialist plays a key role in growing our team of talented, passionate care providers.

This role is full time / exempt; hours are 9 to 5 Monday to Friday in our Burlingame office reporting to the Managing Partner. Your responsibilities will focus on our hiring process as we look to attract the best and brightest care provider candidates to our agency. These tasks include:
1) Sourcing and Screening Candidates: expanding our pool of qualified care provider candidates by building awareness and interest through social media, advertising, word of mouth and other referral programs
Develop campaigns (ads, text campaign, emails, etc) to add new candidate names, with a preference for referrals over complete strangers that come in from ads, etc
Expand our social media presence with stories that compel candidates to pursue employment with our agency
Contact candidates via phone and text; leave voicemail and personalized text; phone screen those that you're able to reach.
Apply 'best practices' in the screening questions (ie, understanding the skills and experience that Sage seeks as well as the red flags that we want to avoid) and persuade qualified candidates to pursue an interview with Sage
Maintain our candidate tracking database by updating each record with relevant notes, termination reasons, etc; develop efficient candidate call lists using filters
2) Interviewing Candidates: identify those candidates who meet the Sage standards through 1st and 2nd interviews; develop excitement to progress through orientation and into active assignment for those selected candidates
Schedule qualified candidates for in-person 1st interview; conduct 1st interview using our existing Interview Script and schedule qualified candidates to 2nd round interview.
Apply 'best practices' in interview questions - ie, using the role plays to get at the candidate's qualifications
Maintain candidate documentation (application, screening, interview, etc)
Goal is to conduct 6-8 1st interviews per week, with the qualified candidates advancing to 2nd interview (and ultimately New Hire Orientation)
