This is a solid mahogany, leather clad chest.
The nail heads and the leather and the wood are all in great condition except for the top. As you can see in the pictures, it will either need to be covered or refinished.
It has a locking hinge so the top won’t fall on any curious fingers, etc.
It’s a really versatile piece of furniture measuring 2’ x 2’ x 15”. It has tapered legs.
I think this is an early reproduction piece from the early 20th century probably around 1930.
I used it as an end table, but it can also be used as a nightstand, a plant stand, a small coffee table.. or???
