We are looking for full-time and/or part-time Barista's for a new breakfast and lunch café in the heart of Woodside.
The Little Store is a beloved neighborhood café and flower shop. We are a small but mighty team committed to serving quality coffee, seasonal food, and fresh flowers in a warm and welcoming environment.
We project busy mornings and afternoon lunches. You must be able to move fast when necessary and have excellent customer service. This is a fun job with a great team in a small-town feel community. You'll have regular customers, work in a beautiful space, and make money while making friends.
Barista Responsibilities -
- Provide excellent hospitality to customers
- Prepare and serve coffee beverages including espresso and drip coffees and teas
- Stay knowledgeable about our coffee partnerships and current offerings
- Continually cultivate your curiosity, knowledge and skills within the industry
- Be a team player by taking part in tasks that keep the café running smoothly including maintaining tidiness and functionality of daily operations
- Maintain current health, food, and safety guidelines
- Be an active participant in a safe and respectful work environment
Barista qualifications and experience -
- 2+ years experience in specialty coffee strongly preferred
- Positive and welcoming demeanor
- Express a enthusiastic desire for coffee
- Work efficiently within a team environment
- Excellent at multitasking while remaining composed under stress
- Deliver exceptional customer service and professionalism at all times
- Ability to retain coffee specific knowledge of current offerings, and communicate with confidence product information.
- Must have Serv-Safe certification (or willing to obtain)
Barista skills and abilities -
- Must possess a desire to learn and grow in a small and dynamic team
- Ability to stand and walk for 4+ hours
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
