Great Remotes! I have upgraded my AV theater system and now don't need these. Items are dated, but for a tinkerer or collector these are pretty awesome. The first item has never been used or programmed; as stated it is New-in-Box. Second item is fully working, programmed for my theater, but (I assume) with the help of the appropriate searches and AI can be fully programed for your purposes, if that's what you want to do. Both Items have been in my possession since 2001 when I installed my original theater system. The NIB item was a backup to my main unit, but the main unit was so reliable -- STILL working after 20+ years !!! I never had to even remove the NIB unit from the box! Consequently, as you can see from the pix, everything is included in its original packaging.
Everything on the NIB unit is unblemished and included in its original packaging, including the user manual. Unit takes battery pack or AA batteries, I can't vouch for the battery pack at this time, but since the working unit is fine, well...
From Marantz: "The RC5000i can be used for all devices that understand infrared remote control signals. Its easy-to-use touchscreen and its intuitive interface make it a perfect remote control for every user. The RC5000i is completely customizable and programmable. You can add devices and functions, relabel buttons, record macros and animate your macros. Although the RC5000i is pre-programmed for Marantz components, a vast collection of built-in tab guided panels with prearranged button art enables you to easily choose the perfect interface for any non- Marantz component. The RC5000i easily learns commands from the vast majority of manufacturers’ remote controls."
NOTE: I have not plugged this in and/or charged up the NIB unit, so I cannot guarantee the functionality or reliabilty of that unit or battery pack. Might be best to consider the NIB unit as a collectors' item. With the inclusion of the working unit, it's a matter of whether or not you want and are able to reprogram that one, if you need a working unit. So, Thanks for looking, and LMK...
