Purchased directly from Sajeeve at Nectar Sound, this is the luxury version of the HiveX electrostatic headphones that he makes.
Adult owned and cared for in a non-smoking and pet free home.
Here was Sajeeve's description of the HiveXL:
"This is the HiveXL, not published on my site or anywhere, It is the only one in existence, and uses the same HiveX driver, but uses the traditional method for pad attachment for larger 110mm pads (leather ZMF pads attached are the best with it), and uses a Stax cable. It’s larger, softer, more luxurious. I exhaustively finished one set after some development but then honestly forgot about it because I was also in the middle of Ambrosia development... I would say it is similar to the HiveX but has a more relaxed presentation with a measuredly reduced ear-gain in the 1-5kHz range. Without going into the economics of the time/money/part management, this probably won’t ever make it into a normal offering on my site (if I can help it)... The major physical difference is the large ZMF pad and attachment method change, much larger ear cup, and an actual thick STAX cable."
