KLH Model 5 Speakers with Stands - Black - New Open Box - $2,750 (burlingame)

These are brand new, just arrived, unpacked and examined to make sure they arrived in perfect shape and function properly when connected to a music source and amplification.
These are highly regarded sealed speakers. If you're familiar with the KLH Model Five, they are classics. These are the redesigned version that still retains a retro vibe, but the components have been updated to modernize their performance and sound quality. If you've seen the reviews, they have gotten stellar reviews (5 stars) from multiple reviewers and publications (print and YouTube). They make you just want to listen to more and more of your music collection, cast a wide soundstage with depth, and also a sense of immersion. Great imaging and soundstage. These are true 3-ways speakers so they will outperform bookshelf speakers in range and bass, but they're not too big to dominate most rooms. The floor stands tilt the speakers at a perfect angle for the tweeters to hit your ears at a sitting position. Since they're sealed speakers, you can place them closer to the wall as well.
These are matte black, which look more modern, with lighter colored magnetic grill covers. It's a beautiful speaker.
Why am I selling? Unfortunately, I'm in a pinch and need the funds. These are my dream speakers, and they've gone up in price pretty much everywhere online ($3300/pair + tax). My goal was to eventually also get some Model 3's and have a 5.1 setup for both music and movies. I think these are really special speakers.
