1. '53 Lancia Aurelia “Outlaw" coupe - Built to run in the modern Targa Florio in Sicily. It ran in the 2019 event, and has only 2600 klms on the entire build. Still fresh and drives great. Highly modified in every aspect. Built V6, triple Webers, stainless headers. lowered roofline, race seats, RHD. A fantastic “event” car. I have shown it at a number of concours events and it has won an award. Similar to a Thornley Kelham Aurelia chop top in style for a lot less money. (SOLD)
2. '56 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Series 1. Has the highly desirable column shift 4 speed, small head lights and tail lights, matching numbers, and California black plates and nice solid body. This is an incredibly difficult car to find (especially here in the US), and eligible for most serious driving events around the world including the Mille Miglia. This has been dry stored for a very long time and needs a sympathetic restoration. I spent years searching for one of these, but never made the time to restore it. $40k
3. ’59 Fiat 600 Jolly by Carrozzeria Ghia. This is a genuine Jolly (but priced like a replica). It was originally a Taxi on Catalina Island. It is a matching numbers car with California black plates. Original color was deep coral red. I searched for many years to find a real Jolly and tracked this example down in Lake Havasu near the London Bridge. I have had the tubular bumpers rechromed, and a new canvas surrey top made, but otherwise the car has just been stored in my garage for many years. Every enthusiast needs a genuine Jolly in their collection - this example has potential to be one of the best. This could easily be a $100k+ car after restoration. $40k.
4. ’51 Fiat 500C Topolino / ABARTH. This is an amazing unrestored time warp survivor that was part of the Brucker Cars of the Stars collection. The very special engine was prepped by Abarth and is period correct with twin carbs with alloy air filters, special intake, tubular Abarth headers, large alloy sump, lightened flywheel and multiple internal mods. The car features tons of period accessories inside and out such as yellow Bakelite knobs and ignition key, Bakelite horn, shift knob, special armrests, rear seat, Ferrari-style engraved chrome gauge surround, etc. Rust free and very straight body. $22k
5. ’68 JEEP Gladiator Thriftside J2000 4x4 This is another rarity due to its extremely unusual specification: factory short bed stepside (Jeep named this Thriftside), factory installed Dauntless 350 V8 (supplied by Buick). It also sports a manual transmission with original floor shift. I bought this a number of years ago from the original owner’s family and the name of their farm is still hand painted on the doors. This truck was never modified or abused - it is bone stock. I planned to keep the perfectly aged patina intact, but it could also be restored if desired. Has been in storage for some time and will need service. Owners manual included. $15k
6. Meyers Manx/Porsche. This is a genuine early “pre tag” Manx that was built in ’66 using a ’58 Porsche 356A engine. Time warp condition as it has been in dry storage since 1980. Has a number of accessories that were available directly from Meyers when it was first assembled. Has the original chrome Sidewinder 356 exhaust (evidently the last one that has survived). Original 1966 button tufted upholstery, tires, Cragar wheels, California black plates, etc. Body and pan are excellent. Original red metal flake gelcoat. You simply don’t find Manx survivors like this one. Offers?
7. ’73 Land Rover Series 3 109 Station Wagon. 9-10 passenger with tropical roof and Alpine windows. Legally imported from Australia with current California registration in my name (no BS Montana registration). Rare Camino Gold color, RHD, Husky Superwinch, and safari roof rack. GM Holden “Red” 3.3 liter 6 cylinder conversion with Fairey overdrive. Just took part in the Vineyard Series Land Rover event. $28k
8. ’56 Moto Guzzi Cardellino - Completely restored to show condition, and only has test miles since completion. Original Italian Libretto, manuals in Italian and English, Moto Guzzi tire pump. A very unique art piece for concours, or home / office display. Probably the best example available anywhere. $6k
I will mark these sold if they are purchased. I also may add other cars from my collection as I make some more difficult decisions to let go-
NOTE: This ad is genuine, and I am the owner of all of these (not brokered). Many of these were purchased years ago (some 20+ years) simply because I liked them, with no intention of resale. Now I am much older and am simply overwhelmed owning, maintaining, and storing all these toys. I realize that CL is an unusual site to advertise this collection, but it gets the word out quickly - Prices would certainly be higher on BAT, but it would take months to go through that process with this many cars.
These are located in SoCal (Ventura), and can be inspected there in person. I can send a set of photos and further information on any of these - just ask. My goal is to reduce the size of my 20+ car collection. I may reluctantly consider interesting European trades as long as my total collection is shrinking, instead of expanding. I'd love to own another Alfa Giulia GT Veloce stepnose, and happy to take one in trade!
