I am putting up my beloved NFR AP2 S2000 for sale, as I no longer drive it as much as it should be driven. I have all documentation during my period of ownership. For those looking for a fun DD or weekender, I think this car would be great for you.
3 Owners (this is including myself) - both previous owners were in Dallas, TX. See the attached Autocheck report.
116K Miles - Never tracked/autocrossed - although I have had occasional spirited drives around Skyline :)
Clean Title in Hand
VIN - JHMAP21405S002970
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, but I took care of this car for the duration of my ownership. There is the typical wear to the driver's side bolster, but the seats otherwise look great (no rips or tears). Other than that, the steering wheel and dash have some minor blemishes due to age.
Extras for the interior - Alpine Bluetooth Stereo (I still have the stock radio) and the Modify DCI Adapter (to allow control of radio through stock buttons on car) as well as an aftermarket shift knob + shift boot, Muz Floor Mats, Glove Box Organizer, and LED Interior Lights.
Top was replaced in 2015 by previous owner - is still in excellent condition - no rips or tears but has one small pin-sized hole. Previous owner had the OEM CR Body Kit installed on the car - this includes the front and rear spoilers. He also put on 10 mm spacers for the wheels and removed the Honda badge from the front of the car (I have it if you would like to put it on). I recently replaced the rear tires (Michelin PSS).
Extras for exterior - Aside from stickier tires, the only other modification I have done is put on the Tanabe Super Racing Medallion Exhaust (I do not have the stock exhaust) - still passes smog no problems as I use the stock cat and sounds great IMO. Suspension has never been changed and is all stock.
The current imperfections to the car's exterior are:
Curbing damage done to wheels
Scratch in paint driver's side door due to some asshole opening their car door into mine in a parking lot
Scratches in paint on drivers side rear fender near the convertible top
Scratched on front bumper where a bracket I created to hold the front license plate rubbed against the paint
Car is mechanically sound - no issues or leaks. No major problems during my ownership. Yours truly changed oil every 6K miles using Amsoil Oil + OEM Filters. When I got the car at 85K miles - I flushed the coolant, changed spark plugs (NGK Plugs) and both air filters. Last major scheduled maintenance was the 100K maintenance, done by Joey (popular mechanic in the Bay for s2000s, look him up on S2KI). As per Joey's recommendations, I also preventatively replaced the Clutch Master Cylinder with a new OEM CMC. Since the 100K service, I have replaced coolant + radiator + hose (was slightly seeping coolant so I replaced everything just in case) + replaced both air filters again. I also had the battery replaced, valves checked (no adjustments needed as were in spec) and the throttle body cleaned. Clutch and brakes still have plenty of life.
You would not be able to tell by looking at the car, but these are things I think you as a prospective buyer should know.
Previous owner ran over some debris on the highway and damaged the passenger side-skirt area (I have pictures + texts from PO), PO put a claim through insurance and had car repainted
I had the rear bumper replaced with another OEM bumper by Acura/Honda Connection (my go to shop in SJ) due to chips in the paint from rocks that bothered me - I paid $1K out of pocket for this (can show pictures of before)
I scraped a parked car (sigh) at 2 MPH when pulling into a parking spot at work - I have pictures (you can see the damage to my + the other car) and all documentation for this - nothing on the car was replaced, the only work that needed to be done was paintwork. This was claimed by me through insurance and body work was done by Acura/Honda connection
Hopefully you can tell from this extremely comprehensive ad that I am a very detailed seller. If you're looking at S2000s, I'm assuming you know what you're looking for. I am asking 15.5K OBO and you must have funds ready prior to test drive. I will not allow joyrides - don't waste my time. Please text me to set up appointments or if you have any questions that are not already answered here. Will happily take to shop of choice for a PPI at buyer's expense. I am in no rush to sell this car and I will ignore you if you lowball me. No trades or part outs and I do not need assistance selling the car. If this post is still up - the car is still available.
