I'm selling my beloved 1995 VW camper to the first person willing to love this awesome van as much as I do :) I've owned it for 5 years now and had a lot of fun, but the priorities are changing in my life, as they do occasionally, so it's time to pass this fun weekender on to the next deserving owner!
The engine is the 2.5L SOHC, which gives it decent power, unlike older VWs. Low miles at 153k! The transmission was rebuilt by the previous owner, which is huge. I've upgraded a lot of the components on the inside as well as a couple things with the engine, but let me know if you have any specific questions or concerns.
- All of the fabric is in very good condition, no tears
- BRAND NEW 2nd AGM Sealed Battery ($450) giving you all the power you need off grid
- Built in marine fast charger for both batteries (they fully charge in less than 5hrs)
- Installed dual battery control which switches power to the spare battery when the engine is off so you never kill your starter battery
- huge inverter (3k watts) as well as a 3 port 12 volt hook up
- Kenwood CD player and interior lights are hooked to aux battery to allow you to dock and chill with your tunes without every worrying about draining the primary battery.
- stock fridge and dual burners work
- All new seals on the pop top, so there are no leaks or loud sounds on the freeway
- brake rotors and drums as well as pads for all four wheels done about 3k miles ago.
- New rear Bilstein shock absorbers
- Good tires
- This van has always passed smog easily
- All new vapor/vacuum lines
- New spark plugs, distributor, cap
Some other notes: the frame is perfect, the body had some dents at the hips that I took out myself, so not perfect, but definitely improved.
I have tons of records for the van, going back to new. This van has even been to Burning Man, which is awesome! Has some decals and stickers from some of the festivals it travelled to 20+ years ago.
This is an amazing camper, and I'm not in a hurry to sell it. But we just had a baby, and it's not getting the use it deserves. It's ready for its next owner, which is you, hopefully!
I will only entertain offers in person. Please, no tire-kickers, low-ballers, or "Is this still available?" queries. Thanks
