1970 Ford Mustang

fuel: gas
title status: clean
transmission: automatic

I'm selling the Mustang that I have owned since 2007. I bought the car bone stock and have spent the last 11 years overhauling the drivetrain. The car is optioned with the Grande package and 351 engine - which means it has the upgraded Mach 1 houndstooth interior. The car also has the rare factory rear window defroster, center console, and disc brakes.

In the last 11 years I have upgraded or maintained the following:

-Blueprinted and balanced 351c. This includes forged internals, rebuilt heads, comp cam, MSD ignition, edelbrock intake, holley carb, ARP hardware everywhere. The car has a nice cam idle and tons of torque.

-Street/Strip C4 transmission with 2500 stall converter. This transmission shifts incredibly fast and will easily chirp second and sometimes third. I recently changed the filter and flushed about 12 quarts through it to get all of the old fluid out)

-Factory 9-inch rear end with aftermarket 3.55 Posi traction (LSD)

-Re-wired from bumper to bumper

-Lowering springs (and shocks) on all four corners

-Replaced master cylinder and front calipers + rotors

-Line-lock

-Misc maintenance like radiator, starter, battery (10/17)

I've basically replaced everything the car needs to be reliably driven every day, or used as a weekend cruiser. The car does need to be painted and have the interior redone before it is "finished". There is also some rust around the rear wheels that would need to be addressed before the car can be properly painted. Over the years some people have suggested that I leave the rat-rod look and not paint it after finding out about the modifications.

I'm selling the car because I don't drive it enough to justify paying for insurance, and I have a few other projects that are preventing me from getting the ball rolling on the body work.

I'm open to all trades, but am mainly looking for a Cj-5 (or something equally off-roadable & smog exempt).

You can reach me at 65O-868-3978 (prefer text)

I'm not interested in any solicitations, and do not need help selling the car.
