The Alfa Sprint Zagato was unveiled as a concept show car, the ES 30, at the 1989 Geneva automobile show. Reception was very positive and the production version debuted later that year. The SZ was a very significant flagship car for Alfa Romeo, developed as a high performance GT with unique advanced styling featuring composite body panels. It was based on the chassis of the Alfa Romeo 75 model (Milano in the US market).
This SZ is number 826 0f 1,036 made. Remarkable example with very, very low miles and 100% correct with no modifications. Truly a collectable and show worthy exotic. This SZ has a very low 14,985 original kilometers (only 9,311 miles) and is in excellent condition. A very unique and cool SZ ready to rock and nice enough to show.
This awesome exotic Alfa was a recent find that we have just imported from Japan. Originally sold in Germany, this SZ was purchased by a Japanese collector and driven very sparingly, just enough to stay in shape without getting used. We discovered it in Japan and brought it to the US under the 25-year exemption rules. This SZ comes with a clean Japanese CarFax, showing service records and no accidents.
Original paint is near perfect and the interior is in beautiful shape. The original seats upholstered in saddle tan leather are in very good condition. A Japanese Carrozzeria CD audio head unit provides a clean and powerful sound track. Steering wheel is a racing 3 spoke style with a handsome Alfa Romeo badge. Dash and all gauges present as new.
Under the hood, the entire compartment has been detailed and is exceptionally clean. Starts, runs and drives like new. Sounds great, no issues, no problems with running gear or electronics. Wheels have been refurbished, tires are good. The powertrain of the SZ features an all alloy 3-liter Alfa Romeo V6 and a 5-speed transaxle. The rev happy Alfa V6 produces 210 HP and is a joy to experience. Performance is very strong with 0-60 mph in about 7.5 seconds with passenger & luggage, and a top speed of over 150 mph.
A stunning example, with very low mileage in superb condition. Can be driven and enjoyed now. Recently detailed, shows beautifully, needs nothing. Ready for exciting driving and attention getting showing.
