We are currently looking for a Contact Center Representative 1 who is the primary remote point of contact to guide our members to credit union products, services and solutions. This position will manage the expectation and experience of our members while solving problems and assisting with technology questions.
We are currently located in San Mateo but will be moving the location to our new corporate headquarters in San Bruno in January 2019
Here is what you will be doing:
•Acquire account service transaction and maintenance proficiency within scope of authority
•Anticipate member's questions or concerns, participate in active listening, troubleshoot and assist with meaningful solutions
•Understand and be able to explain credit union products, services and technology channels, keeping knowledge updated and current
•Manage assigned channels of communication with members in a timely and efficient manner
•Explore opportunities to deepen member relationship though uncovering member needs and offering solutions
•Troubleshoot interdepartmental problems and act as member guide in the resolution process
•Be an engaged participant of the overall Member Experience team
•Participate in ongoing training and cross training, taking advantage of BVS online courses, in house training sessions, seminars and classes as assigned
•Perform activities/tasks related to the Bank Secrecy Act Policy which includes General Requirements, MIP, CTRs and events that may suspect suspicious activities.
•Performs other duties as required
•High School diploma or equivalency required.
What we are looking for:
•Minimum 1 year of successful call center or customer service experience required
•Minimum 1 year within a financial institution/credit union within a new accounts or other related role preferred
•Strong listening skills
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Strong organizational skills and proven ability to multi-task
•Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and perform independent analysis
•Ability to effectively handle stress
•Ability to exercise problem solving skills
•Ability to learn and explain new software applications
•Ability to understand high tech software and hardware and to explain processes to members
•Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook
•Previous experience with sales methods and techniques preferred
•Previous knowledge of credit union products and services preferred
•Ultrafis/FSP/ CRM systems knowledge preferred
•Regularly required to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
•Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
•Frequently required to position self and move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery
•Must be able to detect and exchange accurate information to and from appropriate parties
•Must occasionally move, transport up to 10- 25 lbs.
