Lead the team teaching robots how to do real-world tasks. We're an early-stage robotics startup building robots that learn from human demonstrations. We're growing our data collection team fast and need an experienced operations manager to own and run it.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll manage a team of part-time data collectors (growing from a handful now to 20-30+ in the coming months) and be fully responsible for running the data collection operation day to day.
What you'll do
Manage and schedule a team of part-time data collectors, coordinating shifts and coverage
Hire, onboard, and train new collectors as the team scales
Keep the operation running smoothly day to day: attendance, productivity, and quality of the data being collected
Set and uphold standards for consistent, high-quality work
Solve the daily problems that come up running a team and a workflow
Work closely with the founder and technical team, and act as the bridge between them and the collectors
What we're looking for
Experience managing teams of hourly workers and running shift schedules (e.g., restaurant general manager, retail store manager, warehouse or fulfillment supervisor, or similar)
Comfortable hiring, training, and holding a team accountable
Organized and reliable, able to run an operation with minimal oversight
Strong communication and people skills
Available full-time, in person in Mountain View (roughly 8 hours/day)
Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on startup environment
Interest in robotics or emerging tech is a plus, but not required
Nice to have
Experience scaling or building out a team
Background in operations, logistics, or a high-volume service/retail/warehouse setting

$30-35/hour, full-time, in person in Mountain View
Roughly 8 hours/day
