Why you’ll like this bike
Light, simple, and tough. This is an aluminum-frame hardtail with 26” wheels—ideal for around-town rides, campus commuting, weekend trail paths, or a dependable spare/guest bike. The aluminum frame keeps weight down and won’t rust, the 26” wheel size accelerates quickly and feels nimble, and the front suspension fork plus a cushioned saddle and suspension-style seatpost help take the edge off rough pavement and gravel.
⸻
Highlights & Features
• Aluminum hardtail frame: lighter than steel and corrosion-resistant; clean raw-alloy look.
• 26” wheels with knobby tires: confidence on mixed surfaces (pavement, packed dirt, gravel paths).
• Front suspension fork: adds comfort and control on bumps and curbs.
• Rim brakes (V-brakes): simple, easy to service, pads are inexpensive and widely available.
• Multi-speed gearing: triple chainring up front with multiple cogs in back—good range for hills.
• Comfort saddle + suspension-style seatpost: extra cushioning for casual rides.
• Quick-release seatpost clamp: adjust saddle height in seconds.
• Handlebar bag included: zip-top with side mesh pockets and reflective strip—great for phone, wallet, tools, snacks.
• Water bottle cage installed: stay hydrated on longer rides.
• Rear reflector & wheel reflectors: basic visibility out of the box.

Honest Condition Notes (please read)
This is a used bike and priced accordingly. It’s complete and a solid platform, but like any older mountain/city bike it will benefit from a basic tune-up:
• Surface rust visible on the chain, cassette/freewheel, and some hardware. A new chain (and possibly cassette/freewheel) would be a smart refresh.
• Brakes & shifting function but should be tuned for best performance; fresh cables/housing and new brake pads are inexpensive upgrades.
• Tires & tubes are 26” knobbies. Tread looks usable; inspect/replace to your preference if you want puncture-resistant city tires.
• Cosmetics: scratches and scuffs from normal use, consistent with age. No cracks or structural issues observed on the aluminum frame.
If you’re handy—or don’t mind a bike shop doing a standard tune—this will make a reliable everyday rider.
⸻
Who it’s great for
• Riders who want a simple, sturdy, and inexpensive bike for errands, school, Caltrain/BART connections, farmers markets, and neighborhood rides.
• Someone looking for a guest/loaner bike that fits a wide range of riders.
• A project bike for anyone who enjoys light wrenching: swap in slick city tires, new pads/cables/chain, and you’ve got a sweet commuter.

Approximate Specs (visual inspection)
• Frame: Aluminum hardtail (size looks mid-range—best to test ride and set saddle height)
• Fork: Front suspension, coil style
• Wheels: 26” alloy rims, quick-release front hub
• Brakes: Rim brakes (V-brake style) front & rear
• Drivetrain: Triple crankset; rear multi-gear freewheel/cassette (classic 21–24 speed style)
• Cockpit: Riser bar with comfortable grips
• Seatpost/Saddle: Comfort saddle; suspension-style seatpost
• Accessories: Quick-mount handlebar bag with reflective strip, water bottle cage, rear reflector
⸻
What I’d do if keeping it
1. Replace chain (and likely rear cogs), brake pads, and cables/housing.
2. True wheels and adjust hubs/headset/bottom bracket if needed.
3. Decide on tires: keep knobbies for mixed-terrain or install 26x1.5–1.95 street tires for a faster, quieter commute.
4. Add lights and a lock, and you’re set.
⸻
Bottom line
A lightweight aluminum 26” hardtail with front suspension and useful accessories—perfect as a budget commuter, neighborhood cruiser, or project build. Do a basic refresh and you’ll have a dependable daily rider for far less than a new bike.
