This Bontrager frame carries “OR” decals, but may be a Privateer or Race model from the transitional period after Trek acquired Bontrager in 1995. It could be a Santa Cruz-built frame from Keith Bontrager’s original workshop when owned by Trek, or one of the early Trek-era builds from Wisconsin. I'm not a Bonty expert. It has an OR sticker but I was told that was just because they used the stickers they had. Either way, it reflects the geometry and gusseted steel construction that made Bontrager bikes legendary among mountain bikers and racers. And it's definitely built in the USA!
Frame measures 59cm effective top tube (23.2") and 49cm seat tube center-to-center (19.3"). Suggested rider height: 5'8" to 6'2" depending on fit preferences.
