Sampson is a brand known for innovative, high-quality bicycle components and frames, particularly titanium road, gravel, and mountain bikes, emphasizing smooth, comfortable rides. They are based in Glenwood Springs, Colorado and some of their other notable products include their pedals with the SAS system (Sampson Attenuation System). They focused on titanium bikes in the early 2000s and they were known for in-house designed, precision-welded titanium frames that offer vibration dampening for comfort without suspension.
This sweet machine is a Sampson Silverton titanium road bike with a made-in-the-USA ti frame, Kestrel EMS Pro OS carbon fork, Shimano Dura-Ace/Ultegra 2x9 drivetrain and Mavic Aksium Race wheels.
Titanium has a ride that some call "magical" for its ability to blend the comfort of steel with the lightness of aluminum. The raw ti finish also stands up over the years really well. The welds still look great. The bike has been fitted with brand NEW Panaracer Jack Brown 700x25.5c tires.
This bike is a great way to experience the ride of titanium without breaking the bank. This would make a great recreational rider, but can also pull daily commuter duty (just use a strong lock!)
With a 56cm effective top tube and a 54cm seat tube (c-c), this bike should fit most riders in the 5'9" to 6'2" range. The standover is 32.25”.

This Sampson is in Very Good used condition overall. There are a few minor scuffs, smudges and scrapes here and there from normal usage, but the raw ti finish stands up to time. The faceplate of the shifters have some scrapes, but they are fully functional. The cranks show quite a bit of shoe rub. Mechanically, the bike is fully tuned and ready to ride.
