Maruishi Mountace with the ORIGINAL FORK. Maruishis are not collectable without it!
----
"Maruishis have a distinctive fork rake that sets it apart from most other mid-1980s mountain bikes — collectors sometimes call the Mountace fork the “unicorn fork” because it has straight, slender blades but a pronounced forward curve near the dropouts."
Suspension forks make this frame handle poorly because:
• slacker head tube angle.
→ Steering becomes slow and unstable
• Trail increases drastically.
→ “Floppy,” heavy steering feel
• Rider weight shifts backward.
→ Loss of front traction and poor cornering
• Frame wasn’t designed for suspension forces.
→ Twisty, flexy, potentially unsafe
