One of two very large, hand-painted metal signs for sale ($1,200 ea., $2,000 pair). Acquired about 25 years ago from an old country gas station in a rural part of Washington state. Hand-painted by Western Sign Co. (see pic). Measures 8 feet wide x 3 feet high x 1 inch deep. Difficult to find historical gas prices back to when it was 4 cents/gallon(!) but the signs are estimated to be ~100 years old. Condition is very good for the age; wear on paint, chips and some bullet/BB strikes (but no holes) give this sign a beautiful patina. Pick up is in San Francisco; delivery is not available (unless you arrange it).
