Any CPAs looking to branch out on their own and wondering how? I started my firm almost 15 years ago with a fellow coworker who has recently retired. I never wanted to be a sole proprietor as I love a collaborative office. It's also nice being able to share overhead costs. If you have a client base and are looking to jump ship, consider joining my firm in the heart of Silicon Valley. We're mainly a tax office but also do a small amount of bookkeeping/payroll/consulting (i.e. no attestation services). Exiting opportunity for somebody looking to escape the grind of working for a larger firm or, perhaps, another sole proprietor looking to join forces.
