This is a COMPLETE Eaz-Lift weight distributing trailer hitch, ready to set up for your trailer and go towing.
The components of this hitch are appropriate for towing a fairly heavy trailer, roughly in the 27 to 35 foor range, using a stock height tow vehicle with a 2" receiver. It has a heavy 2 5/16" ball, 1200 lb. spring bars, and a 1200 lb. max tongue weight hitch body. The small ball on the side of the hitch is to attach a sway control, which is not included with this hitch. The bar for lifting the spring bars is not pictured, but is included.
I am pretty familier with ewight distributing trailer hitches. If you need help understanding what the above specs mean, or whether this hitch would be appropriate for you, I'd be happy to discuss it with you.
Price is $120, pick up here in the city of Napa.
Weight distributing hitches have been around since 1952. There have been a few significant improvments over the years, all of which this hitch has. Oher than a very rew exceptions (such as the Hensley Arrow and some Reese models with integral sway control), all weight distributing hitches are bsically the same. It is far more important to have a hitch that is correctly set up and with the right components than what brand it happens to be. (But of course there are now a few sub-standard quality hitches made in the far east, think Harbor Freight etc.) Eaz-Lift was the first, and nearly every other weight distributing hitch is a copy of theirs. Their design and quality are highly respected in the trailer industry. I no longer have a large trailer that needs this heavy hitch setup, but we do have a very similar Eaz-Lift with a smaller ball and lighter bars that we use to tow our small Airstream trailer.
