It's time for us to part with our beloved 1977 Airstream Excella 500. We purchased this beauty in 2018 and, after gutting and remodeling it from the floor-up, used it primarily as an ADU during the COVID years. It is a great layout with a table and seating area at the front, then a kitchen, bathroom and additional closet/storage in the middle and a queen sized bed at the back. Since 2018, we have installed new floors, lighting, removed bubbling film from the dual-paned windows and installed screens, installed butcher block kitchen counters and a farm-style sink, new cabinetry, a beautiful bespoke kitchen table, with custom surrounding cushions for the seating area that turn into a second bed.

Additional items we replaced or installed include:
- a Camco Olympian Catalytic gas wall heater
- instant hot water heater
- Maxx Air roof vent fans (they are amazing)
- Roof Sealant across the entire top panel
- and a Brand New PowerMax PM3-55 RV Power Converter

- We installed a fancy Swedish composting toilet made by Separett (we dug a french drain for gray water disposal)

- We had the Coleman Mach 8 heat pump/AC (15k btu) serviced and the thermostat installed back in 2020. Beyond all of that, we spent 100s of hours of work remodeling and tinkering with things I can't even begin to list.

The previous owner replaced the subfloor with new plywood, added stainless steel "corner protectors" to the front, a front window rock guard, installed the current heat pump, and installed a water pump.

We left the foothills of the Sierras and moved back to San Francisco in 2021 and the Airstream has been in storage since that time. The outside desperately needs a polish and the back street-side corner has a small dent on the lower panel. The front door latch also needs replacing. We bought a replacement latch but haven't installed yet as it's inessential -- we have been using the deadbolt). There are things that show signs of sitting and disuse (weather stripping could use replacing, some window screens need to be maintained, etc.), but overall the interior is in really good shape. With a small amount of love and elbow grease (always required for these types of purchases!), she will make an amazing home or travel trailer. We did most of the hard stuff, now you just need to put your finishing touches on her and clean-up the outside!! We are selling as-is, but available to answer questions and advise when possible.

Clean Title. Asking $30k OBO. Please contact Nicole or Ben to schedule a time to view. We live in San Francisco, but the Airstream is currently stored in Sonoma so we need a little lead time to schedule. Thanks!
