Northcoast Waterworks is looking to hire and train an apprentice service technician. We are the leading water treatment installation and service company in Napa and Sonoma Counties, setting the standard for high quality water for the past 40 years. We install water filtration and treatment equipment in residential and commercial settings. We take pride in our finished installations providing the highest quality equipment and providing the highest level of ongoing service.
Description of Water Treatment Service Technician:
Perform routine maintenance of residential and commercial water treatment systems. Technician will typically service 4 to 6 job sites per day. Technician will interact with customers, explaining their findings and services performed. Technician will work with various hand tools to diagnose, repair and service components ranging from simple cartridge filters to more advanced water softening, automatic backwashing media filters, ultraviolet systems and reverse osmosis systems.
Apprentice will train with an experienced service technician and must be able to take direction and feedback from fellow employees. Apprentice must show developing skills week to week to keep this position.
Field duties include but are not limited to:
-Service of residential and commercial water treatment equipment
-Cross training with installation team
-Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager, parts and installation teams.
-Keep company van clean, inside and out.
-Keep van inventory up to date.
- Properly complete job invoicing and notes on company provided tablet.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Participate in training allowing you to grow and develop as a professional.
- Communicate with customers in a positive, professional manner.
Apprentice will also assist shop manager some days at our Shop/Warehouse. Duties include but are not limited to:
-Intake of deliveries
-Checking off packing slips against orders
-Offloading pallets from delivery trucks with forklift.
-De-palletizing, unboxing equipment and stocking parts.
-Keeping shop /warehouse clean, stocked, and organized
-Prepping water treatment equipment for installation
Mandatory requirements:
-Maintain professional appearance and POSITIVE attitude
-Have excellent organizational skills
-Good driving record (Please submit driving record along with your resume)
-Able to lift 50 lbs
-Ability to work 4 day work week with 10 hour per day work schedule.
-Excellent attendance
-Follow written and oral instructions
