We are a small subcontracting company installing high-end tile and stonework at residential homes in the bay area. We’ve been in business for over 40 years and have a reputation for doing world-class work. We are looking for a tile finisher to join our team who is interested in building their skills and working in a prestigious segment of the construction industry. As an apprentice you will learn exceptional skills through hands-on experience and mentorship from a master craftsman.
Job duties:
- Prep walls and floors for floating and tile installation
- Grout/caulk tile joints
- Move and stage materials in preparation for installation
- Apply sealer compounds to tiled surfaces
- Use grinders and tile saws to cut and shape tile
- Measure and mark precise tile cuts
- Mix mortar & thin set
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Assist with installing shower pans
- Assist with floating and setting tile as needed
Qualifications:
- At least one year experience working in the tile industry
- Fluent English speaker
- Good organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision.
- Ability to problem solve
- Strong work ethic
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Reliable and punctual
- Work well with partners and teams
- Must have reliable transportation to various job sites.
- Proficiency with power tools and hand tools
