Dougherty Construction, Inc. in Napa, is looking for an Apprentice Carpenter to join our team!
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is an entry-level position for individuals eager to learn the carpentry trade. You will work under the guidance of skilled carpenters and assist with various phases of construction, including residential remodels, additions, home repairs, and light commercial projects. Tasks include measuring, cutting, assembling materials, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Must speak and read English; ability to speak and read Spanish is a plus
-Strong willingness to learn and grow in the trade
-Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
-Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
-Valid CA driver’s license and reliable transportation
-Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 75 lbs
-Punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious
-Positive attitude and commitment to craftsmanship
-Applicants must possess essential hand and power tools such as a tape measure, hammer, speed square, drill, circular saw, and a tool belt. Additional tools are a plus
-High School diploma or equivalent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Assist lead carpenters with installation and construction tasks
-Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials
-Operate hand and power tools safely (saws, drills, sanders)
-Maintain a clean and organized work area
-Follow all safety protocols and workplace policies
