I am a general contractor running a major, top-to-bottom residential remodel in Sonoma County, specifically in the Glen Ellen area. This specific project covers the entire scope of construction: site prep and systematic demolition, complex foundation work, complete framing through the roof, siding, window and door installation, deck building, interior trim, and custom cabinetry installation.
I am a hands-on contractor who works directly alongside my crew on the job site. I believe in leadership by example and will never ask you to do something I wouldn't do myself. My focus is to build safely and efficiently and pass those skills onto an eager learner.
I am seeking a hardworking, entry-level apprentice carpenter for the duration of this extensive project. Because I run a focused, specialized operation, you will get unmatched, direct mentorship from me across every single phase of building. If you want to see a large project evolve from the initial site prep and demo to the final trim and learn the trade the right way, this is your opportunity.
Note: This position is initially for the duration of this specific project. As the build progresses and wraps up, there is potential to discuss future projects and ongoing work.
Requirements:
Reliable: Must show up on time, every day, ready to work.
Attitude: Willing and hungry to learn. No prior experience is required, but you must want to be there.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Communication: Must speak and understand English clearly.
Driver: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to job sites.
Physical: Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 75 lbs.
Tools: Must have basic personal starter hand tools (tape measure, hammer, tool belt, and speed square).
Legal: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide required documents upon hire.
Safety & Drug Policy: Job site safety is our absolute highest priority. To protect your safety, my safety, and the safety of fellow workers, we maintain a strict drug-free and alcohol-free workplace. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. We have a zero-tolerance policy for substance use on or before work.
