Stanley 743 breast drill with built-in bubble level x 16" L - smooth-working drill - was manufactured by Stanley Tool Works - probably 1950's . It has double-jaw, spring-loaded chuck that accommodates drill bits to 1/2"-diameter. It has quick-change two-speed gearing (swivel lock mechanism to hold crank shaft in place) and adjustable position breast plate. The tool has original finishes, generally intact but some cosmetic wear as seen in accompanying photos. Both solid-wood handles with a nice finish. Gears are all in good
condition, turn smoothly. It also has integral fluid-filled bubble-level on chassis. Removable grip handle and crank are intact, with some paint-chipping. Fully-assembled drill weighs about 5 lbs. It works well - almost a relic but functional for many of today's projects. It’s available for local pick-up in San Rafael, with cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
