North Bay TV Station Seeks Interns and On-Camera Hosts (santa rosa)

This is a perfect opportunity for current or past college or junior college students who took courses in journalism, communication, meteorology, video production, lighting, audio, video editing, etc, or for those who are just naturally good at any one of those subjects who never went to school but would like to get some real world broadcast TV experience under their belt at a rapidly growing North Bay focused TV station.

We need on-camera hosts & news anchors, a weather person, story & script writers, and some behind the scenes video production helpers who can give us an hour or two of help per week.
We’re also getting ready to do more local programs involving on-location shoots throughout the North Bay. With that, we’re going to need a couple of crew members to help with cameras and gear, lighting, audio, and just general on-set help for these productions as well. If you help on a project, we will make sure you get credit for it that you can use for your professional portfolio.
We are located in the town of Sonoma, but some of what we need can be done at your home and then sent to us, others could meet us on-location for shoots we’re doing at interesting places around the North Bay, while other tasks might require you to be at our studio in person depending on what role you're playing on our team. Again, this would only be for about an hour or two per week. For instance; shooting our news segment takes about an hour of production time, so if you’re an on-camera anchor or weather person, we would only need you twice a week for about an hour each time. You would come-in, read the stories on the teleprompter and be done. So far, everyone here has been volunteering their time and we could use more help a couple of hours a week.
This is a great opportunity for the right people. If you're interested, please send us a video telling us about yourself and attach or send links to work you've done. Or, if you prefer, you can send us a resume’ with your basic info, experience and talents, but if you want an on-camera position then we're going to need to see a video of you on-camera. Please do NOT send us an email saying "I'm interested" with no other info like some people have already done. That tells us nothing and is useless. Also, please don't tell us you're interested and then say you don't have a car or a way to get here. Yes, we've had replies like that.
These are volunteer / intern positions, BUT we can help with some gas money and such.
