Cottage is eco-green using no VOC paint and non-toxic building materials. Newly built in March 2025. Lots of light and big windows facing our gorgeous front and back gardens.
650 sq ft with great A/C and heating - and a washer/dryer, BBQ, and treadmill. You also have your own primo parking space in the driveway nearest to the rental.
$2295 for one month. Three month rental discount at $2225 month. Rental days available are January 1-March 31st - with possibility to extend.
We are a short walk to beautiful hiking trails and a country deli, Spirit Rock Meditation Center - and 35 minutes to SF, Pt. Reyes, Muir Woods, and the spectacular coastline.
Loft bedroom has a queen sized bed with skylight and huge window overlooking open space and our huge back yard “spirit rock #2”. The bathroom is lovely and spacious - with a skylight and french doors that open to the back yard back deck.
The living room is large with skylight and garden views. No bathtub - a shower, and a full light filled kitchen. It’s all very light filled - and has a private front sitting porch with garden and mt views.
The loft cottage and the house cottage we live in, share only one common wall - the house kitchen and living room share a wall with the loft cottage laundry room and kitchen. We’ve had no renters ever complain about the sounds from one to the other. There are no sounds or structures above or below the loft cottage.
The only possible detriment for a renter is the bedroom loft corner staircase. It’s a sturdy staircase with great handrails and lovely - but steep, and you have to go slow and have good balance going up and down. It’s also not navigable by dogs.
Your dog would have full easy access to the downstairs, but you’d have to carry her/him up to the loft (cats can easily navigate the stairs).
We are a very sunny garden property with plenty of shady spots too - and wonderful oak, madrone, birch, many succulents, a pear tree and a giant redwood!
Rooms are colorful bohemian with southwest and tropical decor. All linens and many amenities are eco green or organic natural products.
Rental includes use of almost the entire property including multiple beautiful gardens, sitting areas and the cottage. There’s also a treadmill you can use in a tent outdoors. And a good bbq!
Some weeks we’re (quiet elder couple) in residence in the 2 BR house next door, and others we’re traveling. The whole month of February we will be traveling and you’d have the entire property to yourself.
We’re looking for 1 adult only (no exceptions due to septic system) - quiet, clean, mature, kind and responsible - who may also have one pet, a well behaved cat or non-barking a lot dog.
Please no parties, loud music, smoking or recreational drugs. 420 outside ok. Thank you!
We require a $500 non-refundable deposit (to hold the space for you) and it applies to first months rent. Additional $100 month for wifi, utilities, pet and cleaning fee.
