This is a partially-converted ground-floor bedroom of a hillside home. It has views for days, incredible natural light, private bathroom, dedicated entrance, outdoor seating area with view, appliance kitchenette and excellent WiFi. Twin bed that converts to a king.Laundry in the building.
The room was initially set up as a live-in artist studio, but serves equally well as a stand-alone apartment. Kitchenette can be included in the room (complete with countertop dishwasher), or, depending on your needs and our compatibility, common spaces above can be shared with host, including full kitchen.
I am a painter, a teacher, service-industry worker, believer in science, non-magical thinker, diversity-loving, family-oriented, pro-immigrant regular person who grew up in this house in the seventies and has lived in San Francisco since I was a teenager. I'm currently living here part time to be closer to my aging musician parents and I keep a painting studio upstairs. My vision over time is to fill this house with artists on a rotating, midterm basis as residencies, with as many of those funded as possible, and to that end I am currently exploring fiscal sponsorship and other non-profit avenues. But for now, there are bills to pay, and I warmly welcome mid-term renters in whatever (artist-friendly) way you come. If you make art, full-time or once-in-a-while, all the better. My elderly dog stays with me, and our husband, too, when his schedule permits. We're pretty quiet most of the time.
