I believe a flat 1% listing fee is a fair price and saves you 60% in commission. The standard agent commission is 5% (2.5% to the listing agent & 2.5% to the buyers agent). My listing commission is a flat 1%. You save 60% on the listing side and you will receive excellent service! You will have to pay the commission on the buyers side (2.5%) but I can give you some strategies on how to reduce this side down as well (2%). So only 3.5% or 3%..compare to 6% and 5% way too high.
