We live in a 4-bedroom home in Homestead Valley --Close to town but not too close. I am looking for 2 separate housemates who work mostly outside the home… to share with two others, 4 folks total.

The rent is $1,200 plus utilities.
The room is 10.5' x 13' 9" (144 sq ft) and has a 5' closet with a shelf. It has a newly refinished hardwood floor, and windows that face southwest west, so there's afternoon sun. It is UNFURNISHED, though there is an area rug, small dresser and small table if you want to use them.

This unfurnished room is up a spiral staircase and very private. It is a large room (17.5’ x 14’ including a 5’ x 6’ walk-in closet). There is an adjoining 17’ x 8’ (approx 140 sq ft) attached inside balcony that is great for books, storage, etc. (see photo) –a total is 385 sq ft. A local storage unit, Marinship Self Storage in Sausalito charges $583/mo for a smaller space than the balcony. The bedroom is exceptionally light, with a vaulted ceiling, windows on all four sides, and is carpeted. There is a sliding glass door with a small outside balcony.

The house is located in a traditional, quiet neighborhood - walk to great restaurants and other services. The house has a beautiful and sunny yard, roomy living room and large, remodeled kitchen. Share a good-sized bathroom, with cabinets and drawers. There’s a washer/dryer in garage. For commuting to SF there is a #4 GGT bus service that stops about every 7 minutes, just down the block on weekday mornings on its route to downtown, FIDI, Market St. corridor or SOMA.
We are at the foot of gorgeous Mt. Tamalpais, so very close to hiking and biking trails, the beautiful town of Mill Valley, the beach (15 minutes), and a 25 minute car commute to San Francisco.
We're looking for a responsible single person WITHOUT PETS who is employed (mostly outside the home), clean, considerate, and has good communication skills, all of which we practice with each other, and willing to pitch in to keep the common spaces clean. No smoking, drama, or drugs please. One of us works in retail, one works for the county, and I counsel online and teach groups that engage in the practice of authentic conversation combined with the study of social neuroscience. We live our individual lives within a circle of friendly connection with each other.
For the utilities, the average amount throughout the year is around $220, and is higher in the winter, lower in the summer, so the total amount wound be somewhere from $1400–$1460. The utilities include:
# A wonderful HOUSECLEANER who comes twice monthly
# Garbage, water, Direct TV for living room TV, wi fi, and PGE
We also share cleaning supplies (included in utilities). We share a few household chores like garden watering and taking out the garbage. I pay for the gardener.
To move in: The rent for the first month + a deposit equal to one month's rent, a total of $2400. The deposit will be returned when you move out if the room is left as it was found.

I am very experienced in living with others, and I have owned this house and shared it for many years. I prefer living with others who also want to live with others. The house is quiet, beautiful, and very well located, but what's MOST important is the quality of the consciousness of the people who live here. We are clean, respectful, and easy to live with. We say yes to health, simplicity and joy!
