titled as a 1961 but vin on door says 01/1972 has california plate matching non opped title (PNO no back fees) in my name
*UPDATE* I have the title. i took the time and $ to get this registered using the bill of sale that I received- so it is titled as a 1961 VW for Commercial use and it is on Non OPP (PNO) with no back fees, Lic Plate# 5H78550***
the key apparently was lost about 8 years ago by revious owner and it has since been parked, steering column locked. there is no key included. no motor. no flywheel. the trans is in place. i have not attempted to work on this bug yet but when i do the price may go up. does not have a back window, the front kit is fiberglass as is the rear cabin back window area, the wood on the flatbed is useable but old and could be replaced- the rear section lifts up for access to the motor and one side has a compartment for the battery.
i will continue removing parts until this is sold- there is a towbar install to flat tow this away
this vw has a rare wunderbug kit installed, type 1 bug trans, comes with seat risers not yet installed, has one random seat not installed, interior is thrashed but can be cleaned up. 3 of 4 tires hold air. this vw project has a lot of potential!!! dont sleep on this opportunity..first picture for inspiration
